Important Reminders

Hello Cyclones!

We are so excited that you have joined our team! Here are a few reminders and updates:

  • If you did not attend the parent meeting, you can access the handouts via https://carbondalecyclones.swimtopia.com/documents. To save time, these forms may be signed and filled out before your evaluation. 
  • FanWear can be purchased online or via a printed order form. Orders are due June 9th: https://carbondalecyclones.swimtopia.com/shop
  • Team swimsuits should be purchased through our SwimOutlet link to support the team: https://carbondalecyclones.swimtopia.com/carbondal...
  • Swimmer evaluations will be held on June 2nd, 4-6pm & June 5th, 9-10am.
    • Swimmers should attend one of these sessions to be placed into the appropriate practice group based on skill level. 
    • If you did an early sign-up, you should receive your Super Splash Park passes from a CPKD representative on evaluation day.
  • Practices start June 5th for returning swimmers or new swimmers who attended evals on June 2nd. The second round of evaluations will occur after practice. Returning swimmers who have not yet been evaluated, but wish to practice on June 5, should attend the practice time correlated with their last group.
    • Intermediate/Advanced swimmers 7-8:15
    • Beginner/Intermediate swimmers 8:15-9:00
  • We prefer that all swimmers be evaluated before starting practices. If you CANNOT attend an evaluation and are a:
    • Returning swimmer - you may attend practice in the same group from last year and touch base with a coach on your first day of practice to ensure you are in the right group!
    • New swimmers 
      • Ages 5-10 - attend a beginner/intermediate-level practice and touch base with the coach on day 1 to ensure you are in the right group!
      • Ages 11-18 - attend an intermediate/advanced-level (7-8:15) practice and touch base with the coach on day 1 to ensure you are in the right group! 
      • If these groups don't fit your child's estimated skill level, contact a coach before practice!
  • For evaluations and/or practice, please have a suit (girls must wear a one-piece suit), towel, goggles, sunscreen, water bottle, a good attitude, and a smile!
  • Salem Invite: Our first invitational is June 10th! The absolute deadline to register is June 6th at noon! This is a great opportunity to "get your feet wet" at an awesome facility. https://carbondalecyclones.swimtopia.com/swim_meet...
  • Help grow our team by telling your friends and following and liking our social media! Show your team pride by wearing our spirit wear!
