Hi Cyclones!

Welcome to week #4 of our swim season! Here's what's happening:

• Tuesday, June 27th at 6:00: Home meet vs. DuQuoin. 
  • Entries due Monday at noon
  • Arrive 4:15 for the team photos before the meet. Please try to arrive early for photos and wear your team suit! We will have make-ups next week, likely before the 7/6 meet. The photographer will make a digital team composite, so he can add people to the team photo individually. There is no purchase required to have your photos taken.
• Previously ordered Cyclones merchandise is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow and will be sorted and available at practice on Tuesday, June 27th. 
• The Carbondale Invitational is July 15th. This meet takes a huge amount of planning and effort by our team. This is also an important opportunity for fundraising through t-shirt sales, concessions, 50:50 raffle, and sponsor ads. 
  • Our theme is the "Duck Race" because each year we race rubber ducks through the lazy river as a fun way to have a 50:50 raffle. Ducks are sold for $5 each or 4 for $20. The owner of the winning duck gets 50% of the jackpot! Ducks are being offered in an online presale now with a small convenience fee and will also be sold onsite.
  • T-shirts are on sale for $16 in our team store. Your swimmer will love the bright turquoise tie-dye shirt with the fun duck logo to commemorate the invite. Temporary tattoos and hats are available too!
  • Heat Sheet Ads: Want to showcase your swimmer in the heat sheet? Or do you know a business that may want to support our team? This is an inexpensive way to support the Cyclones. 1/4 page ads are $15, 1/2 page ads are $25, and full-page ads are $40. Ads may include images, text, business logos, or COUPONS! Available in the online store now. We are developing a promotion to encourage our swimmers to sell ads. Details TBA.
  • If you know a business willing to support the Cyclones at a higher level of sponsorship, we can place their logo on our website. Please speak to Crystal Honald for details.
  • We ask for swim families to donate items for concessions, there will be a sign-up list in the volunteer area of the meet.
