The Carbondale Invite was a great success! A huge congrats to our swimmers and coaches and a big thank you to the volunteers!

We have two more swim meets before Champs.  

• Thursday, July 18 - Tri Meet : Salem and Marion @ Carbondale.  This will be our last home meet this season. The deadline to register is noon on Wednesday, July 17th.  
• Saturday, July 20 - Salem Swordfish Pentathlon 2024. The deadline to register and pay your fees is noon on Monday, July 15th.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SWIM LEAGUE (SISL) CHAMPS INFORMATION

The SISL Champs 2024 will be held in Marion on Saturday, July 27th. Champs is the team competition for the season and we can improve our score by having relays in all age groups.  The following sections from SISL Bylaws determine eligibility. 

Sec 16.03. To be eligible for the meet, a swimmer must have participated in no less than three (3) SISL sanctioned meets and/or SISL Dual/Tri meets. The swimmer must swim at least two (2) individual events at a meet for it to count as a required meet. Six and under swimmers are only required to swim one (1) individual event.

Sec. 16.04. Each swimmer is limited to three (3) individual events and two (2) relay
events.

Sec. 16.05. There is no exhibition swimming allowed in the meet. Entries with “no
time” are not allowed.

Sec. 16.06. Each team is limited to three (3) entries per event in the 25 meter events,
two (2) entries for all other individual events and one (1) entry per team for relay events.

Sign up your swimmer(s) for this week's meets to give them a couple more chances to achieve better times.
