Hello team,

It is hard to believe the 2024 Cyclones swim season has come and gone! In case you missed it, Cyclones finished 3rd at the SISL Championship Meet. This was the first time Cyclones have placed in the top three, and we were very close to claiming the 2nd place spot! This is an amazing accomplishment!! Results for the Championship meet (and all other meets) are posted on Swimtopia as attachments on "Past Events."

Party: We are excited to celebrate the season with an end-of-the-year party! The party will be held on Sunday, August 4th from 3:00-6:00 at the Super Splash Park. Pizza and drinks will be provided. We will be setting up picnic style on the grass outside of the fence to eat, so please bring a chair if possible. Donations of snacks and desserts are appreciated.

In addition to eating, swimmers will be given wristbands to...swim! Before the night is over, we will do a small awards ceremony and will give certificates for swimmer accomplishments such as high points, most improved, rookie of the year, etc. PLEASE RSVP! We need to know how much pizza and how many prizes to prepare!!

All Stars: Some of our swimmers are preparing to swim in the All Stars meet this weekend in Effingham, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for all of our SISL swimmers to join together as one unified SISL team and compete against teams from the entire southern half of the state. 

Continuing Opportunities: If you loved swim season so much that you aren't ready for it to end, consider year round swimming! Check out Saluki Swim Club for opportunities to elevate your swimmer's skills - evaluations 8/19, 8/20, and 8/21 at 5:00 at the SIU Rec Center. An of course, we expect to see you next Cyclones season. Just. Keep. Swimming!
